It's been a few years since our last release, and our members are scattered across the US. Emily is doing theatre in Florida, Caroline is in New York, Kathryn is in Chicago. Our drummer Luke Imbusch is based out of California and doing great work with the Rare Occasions. So, no new music coming anytime soon but if we get everyone to do some Zoom singing we will post it here!

Our new single was written for Fr. Bob Hawkins retirement in June, 2018. We are thrilled to say that we were able to record an a cappella version with Emily, Caroline, Jacob and me, even if a fair amount of it was done long-distance! The title comes from one of his most-beloved homilies, which contains this story:
A family is spending the day at a beach on a small island. The young daughter spends much of the day searching intently, while her parents happily read and enjoy the surf. At the end of the day, the girl brings them each a perfect, gem-like stone, which clearly came from somewhere else on the island. The mother exclaims, "this is so beautiful! It must have taken you all day to find it!" The girl responds, "the search was part of the gift." So, here's a wonderful surprise! St. Luke's School will be featuring music from our new CD in their annual Christmas Pageant, and several of our members will provide the backing music. There's more information on our Facebook page, here.
We are excited to announce that I Am Radio (www.iam-radio.com) has picked up our single "Save Us With Your Grace" and added it to their featured rotation. In their words, "it has all the qualities we look for, great vocals, music, lyrics and production". We couldn't agree more! Please check out their web site, and give them a listen.
At our (first) album release party, we were fortunate to be interviewed by Brian Fraga, a correspondent for the Rhode Island Catholic newspaper. The article just came out today! For those of you who do not have subscriptions, you can check it out on their website. Brian interviewed Caroline and Emily, and did a really nice job of capturing the spirit of what we're trying to accomplish. Please check it out!
Sunday, 10/16, we'll be having another release party for the new album. Details are on Facebook. We've been so fortunate, with airplay on 94HJY and some really positive reviews, but we need help getting the word out! Please let all of your friends, relatives, acquaintances, and mortal enemies know.
There will be more shows around Rhode Island, as the air gets colder, so watch this space for details. Thank you all so much for the support! Louder Than The Music has featured our new album! Check it out here. Also, we will be on 94 HJY's Soundcheck program tonight at 11PM. Be sure to thank Pete Silva for programming us, and to give their Facebook page many clicks and much feedback.
We're hoping to announce the date for our next fundraising show soon. Like our Facebook page to get the latest news!
Don Dimuccio from Motif Magazine wrote a phenomenal review of our album this week. Please give them many clicks! As well as being a terrific writer, Don is the driving force behind one of our favorite roots-rock/blues bands, Black and White. Read the review, and then buy the album!
We had our CD release party on August 21st, and it was a huge success! Many thanks to all who attended. Our fundraiser for charity:water is continuing, so please consider donating. Also, the album is now available for purchase on CD or as a download. Go to our Recordings page for more information. Here is the band playing "Words Come To Life", live in concert. This one cooks. Everything you say and do is known. By whom, or what (God? The Internet? Skynet has been self-aware for almost 20 years, Terminator fans!) is up to you. "Live the same on the inside...Love the same on the outside" is the ideal to which we should all aspire, regardless of our beliefs (and paranoia). Written In The Sky |
